Discussed my project with Susie and how I might adapt it to new situation. Discussed digital ideas and how you can propose ideas for surface pattern design without actually producing it.
Discussed some local contemporary designers: Ellie Way and Laura Slater who are having to adapt their current practice to working from home. Ellie Way uses retro homewares in some of her designs.
Ideas to consider coming from Susie's tutorial:
- consider playing with scale and overlapping
- images of trolleys could work well with shapes/objects under/over
- Look at Ellie Way and Laura Slater - how they are adapting home practice
- Consider making stamps instead of lino - can paint onto stamps and get texture
- Consider stencil screen prints with my one blank silk screen
